Fawn Arnold offers voice lessons to beginner, intermediate, advanced and Hobby singers as well as Song interpretation, Microphone technique and Stage Presence. Correct breathing and relaxation is also included in the lesson that is based on speech level singing.
"My whole life I always wanted to be a dancer. I mean I always sang and thought singing was fun but my passion was always the spirit of the Dance.
In 1994 I broke my back. Donīt ask me how it happened, but my Doctor told me it was a stress fracture and I had to stop dancing immediately. I was devastated. All those years of hard dance training just basically worthless.
At that time I was practicing singing and song interpretation with Kay Montgomery. I told her with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat that I couldn't dance anymore. Kay simply said, "Then youīll just sing."
So it began. An intensive training with Kay Montgomery. Kay taught me how to "belt" and I mean she taught me how to belt high without damaging the vocal chords. Like a blessing in disguise, I ended up being more successful with singing then I was with dancing. Kay was my little guardian angel at that time who helped me get over my injury and start walking down a new road. Since meeting Kay, who is still a close friend, I have been determined to give others what Kay gave me.
So I began about 2 years ago to teach people what Kay taught me and started teaching voice. Itīs so fun and exciting to see how my pupils slowly come out of their shells and start to gain control and coordination of their voices. I love to teach almost more than I love to perform. I get somehow more fulfilled. I am also convinced that if a person can hear then that person can sing. You just have to train the vocal muscle. So Kay not only taught me how to sing but she gave me the passion of being a teacher. I thank you Kay. I am forever in your debt for you have changed and influenced my life in such a positive way."
